Hi, I’m Jo, a Clinical Nutritionist, Registered Dietitian, and Certified Diabetes Educator.

I specialize in creating tailored meal plans and vitamin regimes to balance my client’s bodies. Whether you’re trying to lose weight or manage a medical condition, I’m here to help.

Ultimately, I use science-based tactics and lab testing to get to the root of my clients’ health conditions. My goal is to ignite realistic, sustainable change with the help of balanced nutrition and traditional medicine.

My Story as a Metabolic Wellness Expert

Adelle was an author and considered one of the most famous nutritionists in the early 1940’s, she criticized the diet of the Average American and  preached the benefits of whole grains, fresh vegetables, fruits, vitamin supplements, limiting sugar, and avoiding packaged and processed foods. Adelle’s nutritional ideas were way ahead of her time and at that moment I learned that I actually had a choice in the outcome of my health based on what I ate.

I decided to pursue an undergraduate degree in dietetics from James Madison University and became passionate about teaching others how to achieve more optimal health and prevent disease through the use of diet and  exercise. I spent years doing hands on research , working with 1000’s of clients and taking numerous certification courses learning to incorporate vitamins, herbs and nutrition testing.  I obtained a Master’s degree in Nutrition at University of Bridgeport and later became certified as a Diabetes Educator through the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists.

For many years I have helped 1000’s of individuals lose weight, correct digestive problems, lower cholesterol and blood pressure, gain more energy, decrease pain and inflammation, and lower blood glucose by teaching them lifestyle changes that work.

I have discovered that everyone needs a customized program, and that not one diet fits all. I use the evidence and science to show you what works and what doesn’t and do not believe in fad or short term diets.

I love biking, working out with weights, organic gardening , the beach, and—most of all—God, my family, friends and clients.

As a registered dietitian (RD), I’ve spent years cultivating a science-backed approach to full-body wellness. RDs and RDNs hold graduate degrees and have completed multiple levels of education and training, as established by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.

Full-spectrum metabolic wellness is my area of expertise. I’ve poured
over the research and established effective application of the findings,
and as a result, I have the ability to provide clients with successful,
tailored strategies for nutrition and lifestyle.

When you work with a registered dietitian, you don’t slap a Bandaid on a problem. Instead, you cultivate sustainable, realistic solutions to instigate life-long changes.

All RDs or RDNs must:

A four-year degree based on an accredited nutrition curriculum.

Completed an extensive supervised internship of practice.

Passed a rigorous registration exam.

Maintained continuing education credits throughout my career.
